Bredele filled with Jam
Hi guys!!
This week, once again I am back with a christmassy recipe!
This week, we are making Bredele. But first let me tell you what Bredele are.
Bredele are biscuits or small cakes traditionally baked in Alsace and Moselle, France, especially during the Christmas period. Many varieties can be found.
Bredele holds a special place in my heart because I used to prepare it with my parents and grandparents when I was a kid, while sipping hot chocolate and decorating the Christmas tree. It’s a tradition I’d like to preserve, therefore I bake Bredele for my friends wherever I am and go during the holiday season. I baked some for my flatmates this year.
This recipe is simple and does not require chilling the dough for several hours, so it is quick. If you like, you may use Nutella instead of jam, which is equally delicious.
Enjoy and happy holidays!!!
